Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ProfileSpy ("ProfileSpy", "we", "us") provides a mobile app that estimates the authenticity of public Instagram audiences. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the ProfileSpy app and profile-spy.com.

2. Information we collect

Account data: your phone number, used solely to sign you in with a one-time code, plus basic account settings.

Usage data: the profiles you scan and the resulting scores, saved as your history and watchlist so they sync across your devices.

Public Instagram data: for any handle you scan, we read information Instagram already shows the public — profile details, posts, and their likes, comments and view counts. We do not access private content or bypass privacy settings.

Device and diagnostic data: basic, non-identifying information (app version, crash logs) to keep the app working.

3. What we never collect

We never ask for or store your Instagram password, and we never log into your Instagram account. We do not read your direct messages, and we never post, like or follow on your behalf. We do not collect the contents of your camera roll, contacts, or location.

4. How we use information

We use your information to provide and improve the service: to sign you in, run scans, save your history and watchlist, power the leaderboard, process Pro subscriptions, and diagnose problems. We do not use your data for advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.

5. How we share information

We share data only with service providers that help us run ProfileSpy — for example, hosting, one-time-code SMS delivery, and app-store billing — and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law. We never sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and scan data while your account is active so your history and watchlist work. When you delete your account, we remove your associated personal data, except limited records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights & choices

You can delete your account at any time from the app, which removes your history, watchlist and profile data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data — contact us to exercise them.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit what we collect precisely so there is less to protect.

9. Children

ProfileSpy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes & contact
