The weighted signals are engagement rate, likes-to-comments ratio, comment signal, dead posts, growth pattern, follow ratio, and a bot/identity check. Post timing and purchased-audience clues can also appear as supporting signals. If a signal lacks enough public data, ProfileSpy excludes it and shows that it was excluded instead of guessing.

Any public Instagram Professional (Business or Creator) account — creators you might collaborate with, competitors, or your own — read through Meta's official Business Discovery API using the Instagram account you connect. Private accounts and personal (non-Professional) accounts can't be scanned because their data isn't available through that API, and we never bypass privacy settings.

After a scan is complete, it can inspect public comments on eligible sampled posts and group them into useful intent, emotional reactions, generic praise, spam or promo asks, repeated wording, and brand-risk categories.

Base scans may only include comment counts, not comment text. Premium plans can unlock public comment analysis when eligible posts have public comments; if there are no eligible public comments, there may be nothing to analyze.

An account scan costs 1 Pro Credit. Comment Analysis costs 4 Pro Credits per eligible post, up to 6 posts per run. The highest-comment posts are selected first, and the app shows the exact total before you spend anything.

No. Comment Analysis does not change the overall authenticity score. It adds detail to the Comment signal so you can read the audience more clearly.

No. Emoji-only comments are emotional reactions, not automatically fake or low quality. They can show feeling even when they do not show strong buying intent or detailed conversation.

ProfileSpy analyzes the eligible public posts it can read. If fewer eligible posts have public comments, only those posts are analyzed. If some selected posts fail but at least one post produces usable comments, the app shows and saves the partial result and keeps the full charge. ProfileSpy refunds the job only if every selected post fails to produce usable comments.

It's a passwordless, secure sign-in — we text a one-time code instead of making you invent another password. Your number is used only to sign you in, never for marketing.

No — never. ProfileSpy reads public data through Meta's official Business Discovery API. Connecting an Instagram Professional account uses Meta's own Facebook Login screen — you authorize the connection there, and we never see or ask for your Instagram password.

Open Settings in the ProfileSpy app and tap Delete account near the bottom of the screen. That removes your sign-in profile, scan history, watchlist, saved reports, connected Instagram account, and profile data from active systems — no dark-pattern retention flow.
